Christmas Day

Christmas was a full day.  We had baked oatmeal (with yogurt and blueberries) for breakfast around our fully lit advent wreath - complete with the fifth and middle "Jesus" candle.  The kids suggested we sing "happy birthday" to Jesus and then, in keeping with that theme, headed straight for the presents.

Luke got the kids a couple balls and orange cones for field set up which we promptly tried out at the park later that morning.

And Grandy and Poppa Len loaded the kids up with cute p.j.s, socks (let's hear it for practical gifts!), and UNO.

Below is Leah's reaction to getting hair accessories and bracelets.  Kid Joy.  There's gotta be a way to bottle that stuff.

We also went to a local hospital to sing carols and hand out pictures the kids colored to the folks there and had a delicious dinner with a few family friends.  All in all, it was a good day.
