Dad's a grad!

In between his extracurricular activities like:

a trip to the deep south (Richmond, VA) for the intriguing cultural experience of a Nascar race (note the muscle shirt and creative facial hair),

his love of sports - including volleyball, football, cycling, and now the city softball league

Luke managed to graduate from George Washington University with a Master's degree in Professional Studies: Middle School Math Education (or something like that.)

We're so proud of him! We're also thankful for the free time that will open back up for us. Not that it won't be quickly filled with family time, working on the house, and his new role as Men's Ministry leader at church.

To quote the oh so eloquent Salt 'n' Pepa, "What a man! What a man! What a man! What a mighty good man! (A mighty, mighty good man.)"

We love babies!

Thanks to new baby Jack downstairs (pics coming soon), we are definitely into babies around here. It's fun to see how nurturing they can be at such a young age.

(And, no, we don't have a bun in the oven ourselves, but would be grateful if and when God provides another one of these munchkins for us. Thanks for asking. =) )

Playing dress up

These pictures don't really do justice to the apparel that my children don themselves with on a regular basis. Leah's definitely into the usual princess dresses and cheap plastic accessories made by young children in Chinese sweatshops. (Don't get me started.) John likes me to tie the play silks into capes and pirate 'do rags so he can run through the house with the wind billowing through his get-up.
