My dear friend, Leslie, took our kids through the Stations of the Cross again on Good Friday. We had a bigger group this year so we did it at our church.
They got all dressed up in various scarves, playsilks, soldier gear, etc.
And this is John, chief of the Roman soldiers, leading Jesus to Calvary.
After Jesus falls, Simon helps him carry the cross.
The daughters of Jerusalem (and a pink pirate) cry for Jesus.
Jesus is wrapped and buried in the tomb (under a pew).
The kids had a great time acting it out and we hope once again that the truth of the steps Jesus walked settles into their hearts!
