There are many things that are associated with summer and picking your own blueberries is one of our faves. We went with a big group of moms and young to an organic blueberry orchard a half hour into Maryland. The kids had a great time and we came home with loads of blueberries. Did we bake a pie or can some jam, you ask? Of course not. They never last long enough to do so because we eat them by the handful.(Many thanks to Cecily the Wonderful for the beautiful pictures.)
