Karis' first month & the Baby Handling Rules

Baby-Handling Rules (or "things we can't believe we've had to say to the older siblings"):

If the baby is still, not making noise and/or has her eyes closed - please do not touch her.

Do not mime grabbing her head, pulling it off, and throwing it like a baseball.

Do not squeeze her chubby cheeks so hard.

Stop picking the goober out of her eye.

Do not wrap your arm tightly around her neck.

Do not shake her head while she is nursing.

Do not stand over the baby or lay on top of her.

If she's squirming and looks like she is about to cry, you are holding her too tightly.

Do not put your pokey fingers near her face.

Just because she is awake now that you have woken her up, does not mean she was awake before you woke her up.
