Work in Progress

Luke and the guys have been working on the house like crazy. 

They opened up the wall (on the right) so the entry room and living room could blend together and closed up the original door (on the left) to extend the kitchen on the other side of the wall.

The kitchen has taken a beating...

but she's getting prettier!  The new appliances were delivered on Sunday and the rest of the cabinets arrive tomorrow.   Then Luke and I get to relive the glory days of our first years of marriage by painstakingly following confusing directions to attempt to put them together piece by (missing) piece. . 

And finally, turquoise has left the building!  

It's amazing what a good paint job can do.

Luke has been working on his baby (the outdoor shower) and the big project next Saturday is centering the front door and stairway and then patching up the front external wall.  

You know, no big deal.  

I continue to dream about ample storage, furniture positioning, and chickens while picking out flooring, sweeping up piles of drywall debris, and trying to bring sad fruit trees back to life.
