Our First Visit From the Tooth Fairy

For over a year, Leah has watched friend after friend lose their first tooth while she has asked when her time would come. Well it happened Friday - in a rather atypical way.

Her bottom tooth started to get slightly loose, but before it ever came out, her two adult teeth started to grow up behind them. So we went to the dentist to have the front 2 baby teeth pulled. And when she woke up she looked under her pillow first thing to find a WHOLE DOLLAR BILL! (That's the going rate, yes? Well, if not, she was still happy...)

And there you are! The dentist swears that it is normal to have the teeth come in behind and grow forward, but that hasn't stopped me from researching orthotropics & palate expanders and praying that God would grow her small sweet mouth to fit the big ol' teeth that she is genetically pre-disposed to!

I just came back to this old post because Joseph has had this same thing going on. Front teeth slightly loose for ages while the back ones are coming up already. But one just fell out on its own! Yay! I couldn't remember if this was normal or not and we haven't gotten to the dentist yet. And I have no idea where his teeth are going, either. Maybe he can borrow some space from Margaret who was conceived after we discovered WAP and seemed to get an additional boost from getting Eric's "mouth genes."
